This volume is the first to present an edition of the Old Testament Works by Anonymus, who has been designated the Austrian Bible Translator and who plays an important role in the history of bible translation before Luther. The translated biblical books, some of them with extensive commentaries, vividly testify to how religious knowledge was conveyed to laypeople in the first half of the fourteenth century.
